Producers: Start of distributions 2019-2022 sound recordings

Today, the GVL is transferring the remuneration for the initial distribution of 2022 and subsequent distributions of 2019-2021 sound recordings to their rights holders.

As announced, the GVL has started the distributions mentioned above today. The payout notifications and the individual distribution results will be made available immediately in the producers' portal label.gvl.

Due to further subsequent repertoire registrations and additional allocation of broadcast notifications, also due to the claims of unallocated usages submitted by many producers, we were again able to increase the results for the years 2019 to 2021 – in detail: for the usage year 2019, the distribution quota now stands at 95.68%, for 2020 to 94.34% and for 2021 to 90.84%.

"We are very pleased that we were able to keep the high distribution rate for the initial distribution in 2022 compared to the initial distribution in 2021," explains Dirk Löwenberg, Directors of the Members Service for Producers. "The rate is a solid 86 per cent, a very good value for an initial distribution."

In total, we were able to allocate more than 71 million euros in proceeds in the current distribution runs.
