The DDEX RDR Working Group meets at GVL in Berlin

On 24 and 25 June, GVL hosted the meeting of the DDEX RDR Working Group in Berlin.

Around 30 representatives from the international music industry came together to discuss key issues relating to the standardised exchange of repertoire and rights data.

The RDR Working Group is one of several DDEX Working Groups in which members from various sectors of the digital music value chain are working on common standards for structured data transfer.

GVL is delighted to be hosting this year’s DDEX RDR Working Group meeting, particularly in DDEX’s anniversary year. Twenty years of DDEX demonstrate just how important common data standards are for the music industry. DDEX RDR (Recording Data and Rights) is the DDEX standard for the exchange of data on rights to sound recordings and music video clips with collecting societies.

"GVL will continue to contribute to the further development of the DDEX standard, as structured, high-quality data is a key prerequisite for efficient rights management and reliable distributions."
Dirk Löwenberg, Director of Member Affairs, Data Collaboration & Projects | Producers & Promoters at GVL

With this meeting in Berlin, GVL is continuing its commitment to international cooperation, improved data quality and future-proof standards in the music industry.
