Broadcast licensing
At GVL, we issue licences to broadcasters for the use and exploitation of commercially published sound recordings and music videos on the radio and on TV, in accordance with the assigned rights we manage for our rights holders.
Radio broadcasters
Radio broadcasters represent a significant group of licensees with GVL. GVL issues licences to private and public radio broadcasters for the use of music that has been released on sound recordings in return for appropriate remuneration.
Registration for private radio broadcasters
The first step for a private radio broadcaster to become licensed is to complete the registration form. Once you have completed and signed the form, please email it to us at sender@gvl.de or send it by post. Once we have received it, we will select the appropriate broadcasting agreement and get back to you.

Broadcast reports

TV broadcasters
Private and public TV broadcasters also require a licence from GVL for the broadcast of music from sound recordings or the use of music video clips. GVL grants exploitation rights to the broadcasters in return for appropriate remuneration.
Registration private TV stations
In order to register a private TV broadcaster with GVL please complete our registration form, sign it and email it to sender@gvl.de or post it to us. Once we have received it, our team will select the appropriate broadcasting agreement and get back to you.
