Every year, the Reeperbahn Festival offers the GVL team a great opportunity to meet performers, label representatives and long-standing industry partners in person. Our photo slideshow captures moments from the conversations, events and encounters at this year’s festival.

In terms of content, GVL was represented at several points in the festival programme. To kick things off, Managing Director Guido Evers took part in the Musikdialog Hamburg at the invitation of Dr Peter Tschentscher, First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, and Dr Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media. The focus was on the next generation of music users.
As well as discussions on current industry issues, GVL’s involvement at the Reeperbahn Festival also focused on very practical matters: one session was specifically aimed at newcomers to the music industry. At the VUT Indie Days, our colleagues were on hand during a GVL consultation session to answer individual questions. The joint reception with Initiative Musik im Reep, which has now become an established part of our Reeperbahn Festival, provided plenty of opportunity for personal exchanges.
