GVL forwards foreign remuneration
At the beginning of August, GVL already forwarded remuneration from abroad to its entitled recording producers. Now the international royalties for performing artists will follow as planned. A total of around EUR 2.1 million from all over the world will be distributed.
Remuneration for recording producers originated from countries including the UK, Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, the USA and, for the first time, Spain. We forward monies to our performing artists from France, Poland, Finland, the USA and, for the first time, usage-based remuneration from Hungary for our musicians. Our entitled actors can also look forward to more than 650,000 euros from Switzerland, which they will receive for the use of their audiovisual productions.
Commission us to manage your rights internationally:
Prerequisites for receiving foreign remuneration are the assignment for international rights management, as well as the registration of participations and repertoire in our portals for rightsholders. In order to be able to forward remuneration reliably, we also ask our rightsholders to check their master data regularly and to update it if necessary:
- Performing artists use the form “International mandate for the transfer of rights” for international commissioning and meine.gvl for all other matters
- Recording producers use the online portal label.gvl for both purposes
