Today GVL has started to provide the individual results of GVLs follow-up distributions for record producers for the usage years 2016, 2017 and 2018 in label.gvl.
Today, GVL launched the payouts of the remuneration in the course of its initial distribution 2018 (except music video clips) and the subsequent distributions 2013 to 2017.
Against the background that we have some resource shortages, we decided to prioritise the regular distribution. We will be working at high pressure to carry out the subsequent distributions 2013-2017 as well as the initial distribution 2018.
Today, the performer portal my.gvl goes online. Bit by bit, the entire notification process for entitled performers will be improved and simplified there, including contribution notifications, evidence requests, payout notifications and detailed reports/statements.
From today, the individual distribution results for the first distribution sound recordings 2018 are available to producers at label.gvl.
Here you can find information on GVL’s current plans for the distributions in the coming months.
With effect from 01/08/2019, the Bundesverband Schauspiel e.V. (Federal Acting Association, short: BFFS) has become the third associate of the German Neighbouring Rights’ Management Organisation (GVL).
GVL has, together with its governing bodies, decided to replace the “budget for newly released sound recordings without relevant broadcast use” due to its disproportionately high distribution costs. Claims from public performance will, in future, be covered by the “direct distribution public performance”.
GVL collected approx. € 230m based on neighbouring rights for artists, producers and event organisers
