Andreas Klöpfel follows Stephan Grulert as appointed Board member

With effect from 21 January 2013, Andreas Klöpfel was appointed as a GVL Board member for the group of producers of sound recordings.

GVL's associates, the Federal Association of the Music Industry (BVMI) and the German Orchestra Association (DOV) elected Klöpfel as successor to Stephan Grulert (formerly of EMI Music Germany GmbH & Co.).

Klöpfel, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Warner Music Central & Eastern Europe, says: "I am pleased to have been appointed as GVL Board member and look forward to represent the interests of artists, producers of sound recordings and event organisers together with my fellow Board members to my best ability". Andreas Klöpfel began his career in 1991 as Financial Analyst at wea records, changed 1993 to Warner Special Marketing (WSM) and was promoted to be Controller at WSM in 1994. In 1998, he returned as main manager of the department for Financial Controlling & Administration to wea records and climbed the ranks to Chief Financial Officer at Warner Music Germany. In August 2007, he took on additional responsibilities as COO for Central Europe and was appointed COO Central & Eastern Europe in 2008.
