Change at Associates' and Delegates' Assembly: Katharina Gloël succeeds Jörg Glauner

In addition to the plans for 2026, the long-standing delegate Glauner was bid farewell at the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly on 25 November, and his successor Gloël was confirmed.

Traditionally, the November meeting of the GuDV sets the course for the coming year: in addition to project and budget planning for 2026, the agenda included the approval of grant applications for 2026 and reports from the Finance, Tariff and Distribution Committee.

Jörg Glauner hands over to Katharina Gloël

As part of the GuDV, long-standing delegates Jörg Glauner has stepped down from his position for professional reasons. His successor will be Katharina Gloël, the substitute candidate elected at the 2025 Rights Holders' Assembly.

Guido Evers and Jörg Glauner

Guido Evers and Tilo Gerlach, managing directors of GVL, expressed their sincere thanks to Jörg Glauner: "Jörg Glauner has been part of the committee work since 2005 – a long journey on which he has accompanied GVL. His conscientiousness, positive attitude and empathy have shaped our collaboration. With Jörg, it was always possible to speak openly, to argue, but always to move forward in the common interest of finding a solution. We will miss this combination of clarity and constructive calmness. We wish Jörg all the best, both professionally and privately."

With Katharina Gloël from Warner Music, the mandate is now being taken over by a delegate who is already familiar with GVL and is closely involved with issues affecting the industry.

Katharina Gloel

Katharina Gloël approaches her new role with respect and enthusiasm: "I look forward to continuing the work and actively contributing the perspectives of producers to GVL. My experience in working with broadcasting rights helps me to classify the issues at hand and provide constructive support. It is particularly important to me to develop pragmatic and transparent solutions together. Committee work thrives on participation – and that is exactly what I want to contribute to."

Katharina Gloël was elected to the Tariff Committee at the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly.
