GVL accepts new agreements up until 31 January for the final distribution

Artists may enter into a rights administration agreement with GVL online. Provided that GVL has received a complete set of all documents prior to 31 January 2017 (postmark), the contractual conclusion can be backdated to 2010. Concluding a contract with GVL is free of charge.

Agreements which reach GVL after 31 January 2017 (postmark), can only be considered for distributions starting with 2013. Remuneration paid out in the course of the final distribution for 2010 to 2012 can not be passed on to artists in such cases. GVL therefore also expressly points out that remuneration put on hold for distribution will expire once the registration deadline has lapsed.

In order to receive remuneration for the use of their recordings, artists must select their productions via GVL's online portal www.artsys.gvl.de and complement with their contribution. Artists who wish to receive pay-outs for the years 2010 to 2012 must submit their registration before 31 March 2017 via the portal. Access details for artsys.gvl will be dispatched to artists upon the conclusion of their rights administration agreements. The prerequisite for participation in the final distribution is that the productions to which the artists have contributed, have been broadcast via radio or TV in the years from 2010 to 2012.

In 2017, GVL is going to run its final distribution for the years 2010 to 2012 - distribution ‘pots’ with high reserves are thus finally dissolved and paid out to the entitled artists.
