How do GVL’s Collections from the use of music in broadcasting reach the individual rights holders?
In an online webinar, we provide an insight into GVL’s data and royalty flows – from the recording of broadcast uses through to the processing of data and the distributions of Collections.
As a member of the ‘Digital Data Exchange’, GVL has been actively working with other leading players in the music industry for many years to exchange information more efficiently along the entire value chain.
The tried-and-tested online seminars for our rights holders and Producers will take place again this year.
The series on various topics relating to the label.gvl portal will start on 7 February 2024.

Our next online seminar for producers and labels takes place on 26 May 2021 at 5pm [CET]. Apart from a short presentation of our producer portal label.gvl, we will focus on the topic of rights ownership records and how to manage them.
Furthermore, GVL is going to run a final distribution for producers on the basis of the new Collecting Societies Act for the first time this year in December.
Enough good reasons in order to register as a rights holder with us, to keep your registered repertoire up to date and to look after conflict resolution and claims of “open” usages regularly.

In this context, there are deadlines and new processes that you need to observe, since they are supported by the producer portal label.gvl.
In the course of the online seminar, Dirk Löwenberg (Responsible for the rights holder service for producers and event organisers) is going to provide information regarding the most important deadlines and procedures linked to the scheduled final distribution for 2016 to the producers of sound recordings.
Afterwards, there will be sufficient time for individual questions.

The new version contains many extensions and additional functions and possibilities for repertoire management and conflict resolution. In this online seminar, Dirk Löwenberg (Head of the Rights Holders Service for Producers & Event Organisers) will guide you through the new portal and present the various new features. The focus will be on showing how rights ownerships can be processed with little effort and what possibilities there are for a simple conflict resolution thanks to the new features.
