Dear beneficiaries,

we are happy to inform you that you can now also find the productions in the artist portal that were first broadcast in 2023 on the channels evaluated by GVL.

All media types - sound recordings, films and series, broadcast stage productions, radio music productions, radio spoken word productions and video clips - can now be found via the product search, so that you can report your contributions.

In total, GVL will pay out an additional € 18.4m to performers and their legal successors as part of these subsequent distributions.

Where can I find information about my remuneration?

In order to be able to participate in the final distribution for the 2020 usage year, we ask rights holders to submit their contributions to us by 29 February 2024.

This deadline does not apply to Radio/TV -extra formats (e.g. individual contributions in non-fictional formats, commercials, documentaries).

We are pleased to announce that due to late registrations and additional conflict resolutions, we were able to increase the average allocation rate for 2019 to 96.6 percent with the final distribution.

We have made the corresponding payment notices available on the label.gvl producer portal. There you will also find further information on this distribution.

The distribution dates are being finalised on an ongoing basis. We regularly inform rights holders about all distribution-relevant news on gvl.de and our social media channels. The following chart shows GVL's distribution plans for 2024.

Event organisers who have qualified for payments will find their individual remuneration results of the final distribution 2019 in the portal meine.gvl.

In addition to the already long existing treaties for our performing artists, GVL has expanded its rights portfolio in Spain and Finland entering new agreements with AGEDI and GRAMEX FIN.

With this final distribution, GVL is finalising the distribution for the 2019 usage year. All monies including distributions that are available to us for this year will be paid out. This also includes the remuneration for Radio/TV -extra formats 2019 (former "open budgets") such as jingles or advertising.

A total of around EUR 23.2 million is currently being paid out in the final distribution for 2019. A total of 164,340 performing artists took part in the distributions for 2019. These are all rights holders who reported their contributions to utilised productions on time.

Wie in der Verteilungsplanung angekündigt hat die GVL heute mit der Bereitstellung der individuellen Verteilergebnisse der Erstverteilung 2022 begonnen. Zugleich wurden die Folgeverteilungen für die Nutzungsjahre 2020 und 2021 durchgeführt. 

A total of approximately 6 million euros will be distributed to our rightsholders from abroad this quarter.

This time, our recording producers receive remunerations from Great Britain, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, the USA and the Netherlands.  In addition, we forward money to our artists from the USA, Switzerland, France, South Africa, Denmark and others. For the first time, our actors and actresses receive usage-based payments from Spain.
