Event organisers: Initial distribution in 2024 and regular distributions in 2022–23

Today, GVL began making the individual distribution results for the initial distribution for 2024 available on the my.gvl portal. At the same time, we completed the regular distributions for the 2022 and 2023 years of use.

Payments have been initiated, and detailed reports and payment notifications have been made available in my.gvl. The final distribution for 2021 is currently scheduled for November 2025.

Performers: Final distribution 2020 started

With this final distribution, GVL concludes the distribution for the usage year 2020. All funds, including provisions, that are available to us for this year will be distributed.

In total, around €20.2 million will be paid out in the final distribution for 2020. 170,872 performing artists participated in the distribution. These are all rights holders who have reported their contributions to used productions by the deadline.

Performers: Sign a rights administration agreement now!

To be eligible for the final distribution, the productions in which the reported contributions were made must have been broadcast on radio or TV in 2022.

Eligible rights holders can conclude a contract with GVL online. If we receive your registration in full by 17 October 2025, the contract can still be concluded retroactively from 2022. There are no costs involved.

Registrations received after 17 October 2025 cannot be guaranteed to be included in the final distribution for 2022. Deferred remuneration will also expire after the expiry of the registration period.

Producers: ZPÜ back payments for the years 2016-2019

Today, GVL has completed an additional distribution of recently received ZPÜ back payments for the years 2016-2019. The payments of the calculated revenues have been instructed.

The corresponding payment notifications are provided in label.gvl. No detailed reports or broadcaster analyses were prepared for these supplementary distributions - the basis is the broadcasting minutes allocated in the respective final distributions for the years 2016-2019 concerned.

Performers: Registration deadline for the broadcast year 2021 on 31.12.2024

In order to be able to participate in the final distribution for the 2021 usage year, we ask rights holders to submit their contributions to us by 31.12.2024.

This deadline also applies to Radio/TV -extra formats (e.g. individual contributions in non-fictional formats, commercials, documentaries).

GVL forwards foreign remuneration

Last week, GVL forwarded remuneration from abroad to its entitled recording producers for the second time this year. Now the international royalties for performing artists will be following as planned. A total of around EUR 3.8 million will be distributed this quarter. The payments originated this time from Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the UK, Japan and Sweden, among others.
