The Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten can look back on a successful and, at the same time, eventful past. Technological progress, ever-changing statutory framework conditions, digital change, globalisation and internationalisation have been rather significant factors influencing the development of GVL since its foundation.
As one of the biggest collective management organisations for rights related to copyright, GVL has been standing up for its rightsholders, with a passion, since 1959. We are pleased that this chronicle provides us with the opportunity to take you on a journey through the past 60 years of GVL.
