Call for support for the petition #saveEUculture

The corona pandemic is creating unique challenges and existential worries for Europe's creative professionals. In order to support creative people in this exceptional situation, AEPO-ARTIS, the umbrella organisation of European collecting societies for performing artists, has joined the "SaveEUculture" campaign.

The objective of MEP Niklas Nienaß's campaign is to secure short and medium-term support for the European cultural and creative industries and thus to ensure a diverse cultural landscape in the long term, even after the Covid 19 pandemic.

The objective of this campaign is very close to the heart of GVL.  For this reason, it has joined the "SaveEUculture" campaign and calls on its rightsholders to sign the respective petition (here http://www.saveEUculture.eu).

The campaign is accompanied by an open letter from Niklas Nienaß to the EU Commission and the EU Member States, in which he calls for support for cultural workers and creatives affected by the COVID 19 crisis.
