GVL Board decides on distribution regulations 2010-2012 / Higher point value for "Featured Performer"

As such the distribution regulations are subject to a continuous review by the distribution committee, especially with regards to the transition period of the usage-based distribution system for artists which has been introduced with the distribution for 2010.

Upon proposal by the distribution committeein its last meeting of the year on 18 November 2013, GVL’s Board has decided on modifications to the distribution regulations in segments relevant for artists. Adjustments made were, among others, a higher point value for "Featured Performers" (4 instead of 3 points), a new role of a "studio conductor" or the introduction of a medium cultural category for broadcasters also for the NTT sector (non-commercially published sound recordings).

On the basis of the distribution regulations thus decreed, the distribution shall now be made to our members. All modification shall apply retroactively so that the distribution calculation for the years 2010 and 2011 is carried out again with the new parameters; this will lead to a difference in remuneration for some artists.
