GVL forwards foreign remuneration

Last week, GVL forwarded remuneration from abroad to its entitled recording producers for the first time this year. Now the international royalties for performing artists will be following as planned.

A total of around EUR 3.4 million will be distributed this time, around half of which will come from our two neighbouring countries Austria and Switzerland. Further payments will be forwarded for usages in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, and the USA, among others.
"This is a steady continuation of the excellent results in the previous years in terms of forwarding international remuneration to which our rightsholders are entitled for quickly and without any deductions.  GVL is running on a high level to push the exchange with our sister societies even further in 2024." explains Peter Buchheit, Head of the International Affairs team.

Prerequisites for receiving foreign remuneration are the assignment for international rights management, as well as the registration of participations and repertoire in our portals for rightsholders. In order to be able to forward remuneration reliably, we also ask our rightsholders to check their master data regularly and to update it if necessary:
