GVL now also represents producers in Ireland

GVL has signed a bilateral agreement with the Irish collecting society PPI for the mutual exchange of remuneration.

In addition to the already long-existing contract with the Irish RAAP for our performing musicians, GVL has expanded its rights portfolio in Ireland and enters into an agreement with PPI.

Producers of sound recordings with a corresponding GVL mandate will receive their remuneration for the use of their repertoires in Ireland via GVL - with retroactive effect from 2017.

"In order to be able to get started with the cooperation as quickly as possible, we already went into the operational process before the contract document was finally signed and exchanged producers’ data with PPI, so that these could already be integrated during the last distribution to ensure a smooth process," states Sandra Klammer, Head of International Affairs.

GVL currently runs more than 60 international representation agreements for performing artists and producers. We are always interested in promoting the worldwide exchange with sister societies on behalf of our rightsholders.

Information for our rightsholders

If you have already granted GVL a worldwide mandate, you do not have to do anything further. All newly acquired territories are automatically included in the rights management.

You want to extend your mandate? You can easily do so, in case you are the rightsholder for Ireland, with a few clicks via our online portal for labels.
