GVL pays out remuneration to producers and artists

The annual distribution for distribution year 2012 for video exploitation shall take place in January 2014. This is the first time that the distribution to producers is entirely managed by GVL, after this task had been carried out by the Federal Association of the Music Industry (registered association) [BVMI] on a fiduciary basis for decades.

The bank transfer to artists shall follow in the coming days. GVL pays out remuneration for the distribution years 2010, 2011 and 2012 to artists. With respect to distribution year 2010, the monies for private copying have been released in the meantime so that they may be included in relevant supplementary payments.

Detailed reports for artists shall be available via our online portal ARTSYS.GVL from 06 January 2014 onwards in the area "My remuneration", showing which remuneration entitlements are allocated to individual productions with verified contribution registrations.

The basis for the distribution to producers and artists is the usage of music productions and AV productions, especially in radio and TV. GVL has processed more than 15m broadcast reports for distribution year 2012.
