GVL pays remuneration to its members

In mid-December, GVL launched the process of transferring payments to artists for distribution year 2015, and the subsequent payments for distribution years 2010 - 2014.

For distribution year 2015, GVL pays out remuneration for the first time. A total of EUR 56.1m is available to artists who are entitled to receive payments. Of this amount, about EUR 11m will be paid out. The remaining EUR 45.1m will be withheld until the final distribution for distribution year 2015 as so-called “reserved remuneration”. By doing so, GVL intends to give all artists enough time to register their contributions to productions which have been broadcast during that periodIn the current distribution cycle, additional remittances relating to the subsequent distributions for distribution years 2010 to 2014 will be made. The result of these four years is a payable sum of EUR 22.2m. In comparison to the distribution in the previous year, the distributable sums have increased due to the income during financial year 2015 relating to other periods, and due to accrued interest.

Detailed reports are available for download to registered users with immediate effect in GVL's online portal www.artsys.gvl.de, in the area "my remuneration". They illustrate which amounts have been allocated to which productions.
