Head of GVL department becomes a jury member for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Awards

On 29 October, the Scottish album of the year will be chosen. An international jury will make a pre-selection in 2020. Also involved: Our division manager for the rights holders’ services (labels and promoters), Dirk Löwenberg.

From 20 outstanding albums, the jury of the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Awards will select their 10 favourites in a first step. The eleven-member jury will meet for the first time next week. Two weeks later, the jury will nominate the winner, which will also be influenced by the results of a three-day online vote by music fans worldwide.

"We see ourselves as part of the international creative industry and therefore I am particularly pleased to be a member of the jury," said Löwenberg. As the responsible divisional manager for the rights holders’ group of producers of sound recordings, and as an avid music lover and vinyl fan, Löwenberg is very pleased to be part of the jury. Löwenberg also completed his studies in Berlin and Glasgow and has since then been very attached to Scottish culture.

The £20,000 award will be presented this year on 29 October 2020 at a digital ceremony. As such, fans from all over the world can attend the award ceremony.
