New app for dubbing actors - with a GVL interface

The registration process for contributions to artistic productions has entered a new digitalisation phase with GVL Connect - the new interface of the synchron app for dubbing actors. From 31 January 2016, the app can be downloaded via App Store or Google Play

By launching this new service, GVL is adapting to the changes in its members' professional lives. The app offers actors a simple and comfortable means to enter and manage their appointments, productions, roles and spoken takes while being on the road. The data is then automatically synced via the GVL interface (API) with the Artsys database,  thus dispensing with the effort of a manual search. Once the next expansion stage is launched, it will be possible to provide contribution registrations directly via the dubbing app. Dirk Stollberg, Managing Director of SynchronDe GmbH states: "The app provides dubbing actors with more freedom for the beautiful things in life - for most of us, accounting is not one of them".

Another advantage: Actors' fees' invoices which act as evidence for their contributions, will be digitally sent to the app by the dubbing companies and can be sent to GVL at the same time as entering a registration. Henning Maus, Head of Software-IT at GVL, explains: "For us, the GVL API is of strategic importance - it enables a direct integration of mobile apps and other applications with the GVL processes and systems. Our interface can also be made available to other suppliers. It is being expanded so that other members' groups benefit from the development of future apps which can dock with GVL's systems."
