Original artist distribution for 2016 has started

GVL begins with the artists’ original payout for the distribution year 2016.
  • Original distribution 2016 only covers recurring repertoire
  • Contribution registrations for sound recordings with first usage in 2016 possible
  • Next distribution phase will take into account new repertoire for 2016 

From today GVL begins with the artists’ original payout for the distribution year 2016. For this restricted distribution however, only remunerations relating to used recurring repertoire from 2016 will initially be paid out. This means: only contribution registrations relating to the sound recordings and TV-broadcasting (AV) categories, which had already been used in the years 2010 until 2015 and now also in 2016 as part of further re-runs and for which GVL already has received verified contribution registrations will be paid out. Productions used for the first time in 2016 will be distributed at a later stage.

Productions for the category sound recording, which were used for the first time in 2016, are available for registration with immediate effect. The access to new repertoire for further categories, e.g. in the areas of TV production and radio production will take place at a later stage, but we will notify you in good time.      

In the coming days you will find your individual usage information in the form of detailed reports showing the remuneration amounts of the restricted original distribution 2016 under www.artsys.gvl.de (in the section ‘my account’ under the title ‘remuneration’).

Should you receive a payout, you can also download your payout information on artsys.gvl.de (in the artsys.gvl section, under the title ‘payouts’). 

Register your contribution for the usage years from 2013 onwards!
Contribution registrations for repertoire, which has been used in 2013, are currently still possible. The registration window for the distribution year 2013 ends on 15. August 2018, and the final distribution for all remunerations is scheduled for December 2018. We will inform you well in advance of the specific registration deadlines.
