Producers: 2020 initial distribution and subsequent distributions 2017 to 2019 for sound recordings launched

GVL started the distribution to producers for sound recordings as scheduled: Apart from the initial distribution for the 2020 usage year, distribution runs for 2017 to 2019 were also carried out.

Producers can check out your individual distribution results and payout notifications and statements on label.gvl.

Due to additional subsequent notifications and further allocation of broadcast reports, also due to claims for unallocated usages submitted by producers, we were able to increase the results of the years 2017 to 2019 again. Furthermore, we reached an overall distribution share of 82.24% with the initial distribution for the 2020 usage year and could thus improve the initial distribution share compared to 2019.

In total, we managed to allocate about EUR 60 million in revenues across all of the above-mentioned years. Today’s payouts take into consideration already paid out remuneration for the years 2017 to 2019 as well as any transferred payments on account for the year 2020.
