Reminder of the distribution of open budgets, e.g. advertising, jingles or documentary formats

Here you will find all the latest information about contributions to the open budgets and their distribution.

Dear GVL members,

At the beginning of September we informed you that you can now report your contributions to productions of the open GVL sub-budgets (e.g. commercials, jingles, documentary formats). For this purpose we have set up an online form on our homepage. 

We would kindly like to remind you to notify us by 31.12.2020 of your contributions to the relevant products in case they were broadcast from 2010 to 2014, so that we can remunerate them.

The open GVL sub-budgets include:

  • Radio jingles (station promos)
  • Radio advertising
  • Music in radio plays
  • Television docusoaps
  • Individual television contributions (e.g. Appearances in entertainment shows)
  • TV jingles (station promos)
  • Television advertising
  • Documentary cinema films on television (cinema productions that have also been broadcast on television)
  • Television documentary productions (produced for television)
  • Title and background music (for all the above, except for documentary productions)

If you have already registered your contributions to productions of open budgets via the artist portal in the past, we will consider the existing registrations. You do NOT need to register your contributions again via the online form. 

How do you submit your contributions in the online notification form?

  • First of all, you enter your personal details so that we can clearly identify you as a GVL rights holder. 
  • Please make sure you use your GVL-ID here.
  • Then you create the desired production yourself and select the channel(s) and the frequency of the broadcasts. Then enter the nature of your contribution in the production and upload a record of your contribution.
  • Afterwards you will receive a confirmation email with the information you entered in the form. Please note that you can no longer view the submitted proof at this point.
  • Your submissions will be checked by us. If you upload a proof to us for each case, we can process your submissions faster.
  • If we have any questions about your submissions, we will contact you directly by e-mail.
