These days, collective rights management also means that huge data volumes must be processed. It is necessary to link millions of datasets from a wide range of national and international sources so that performers and labels all over the world get money from GVL. Our new infographic shows the types of data GVL has to ingest and process so that that collected fees from users turns into remuneration payouts for our rights holders.

There are two data types at the heart of the process: The user and production data and individual data from our rights holders. Broadcasters who have transmitted the productions provide us with the former. Our rights holders submit information who contributed to which production and who owns which rights.
