Study on the impact of corona on music life in Germany

The Deutsche Musikrat [German Music Council] set up a survey regarding the Corona-induced damage to music life which is running until 28 February.

The consequences of the corona pandemic are dramatic for many creators and performers and music life is under threat of suffering long-term damage. The mid- and long-term impact of this cultural ice age, e.g. the social consequences of the pandemic, the extent of the migration of people into other professional branches or the threat to the survival of cultural and educational institutions can only be guessed at this time.

In order to capture this damage, the Deutsche Musikrat and the Zentrum für Kulturforschung [Centre for Cultural Studies], jointly carry out a survey on the basis of a quantitative and qualitative survey.

The quantitative survey is running until 28 February 2021. It is directed at all people who are active in music life. Additional information can be accessed on the site of the Deutsche Musikrat.
