IT Director
GVL’s work is based on processing large volumes of data relating to the use of music and other services worldwide. As Head of IT, Dr Sven Baselau is responsible for the technological platform that collects and processes this data and makes it available for national and international distribution.
With a team of software developers, architects, system managers and testers, the IT department develops and operates modern platforms and portals for our rights holders, partners and employees. At the same time, the department ensures a high-performance infrastructure and the continuous development of GVL’s system and data landscape.
A key focus is on modernising existing systems, expanding data-driven processes and automating complex workflows. The aim is to make the processing of ever-growing volumes of data more efficient, transparent and scalable, and to drive forward GVL’s digital transformation in a sustainable manner.
Before joining GVL, Dr Sven Baselau worked at Bosch, TomTom and Vanderlande. He brings extensive experience in the development and operation of complex software and platform solutions, as well as in building modern IT organisations.
