Dr. Tilo Gerlach began his career as an in-house counsel at GVL in 1996. He has been Managing Director since 2001.

The lawyer, who holds a doctorate, is also President of AEPO-ARTIS (http://www.aepo-artis.org/), the European umbrella organisation of collective management organisations for performing artists.

Born in Berlin, he is also a lecturer at the Humboldt University Berlin and created numerous publications on copyright and on the rights of performers.
