What is the purpose of the label code?
GVL assigns label codes at the request of a producer of sound recordings with a valid rights administration agreement. The label code (LC) is currently a six-digit number (example: LC 123456) and is permanently assigned to a label. The label code is an additional label identifier, which is usually also requested by German broadcasters and stations as part of a promotion at the sampling stage.
If you have not yet concluded a rights administration agreement and do not have a label code, you can conclude an online rights administration agreement here . Concluding a contract and applying for a label code is free of charge.
