Sub-committees
In order to carry their duties out efficiently, associates and delegates may create committees tasked with doing the preparatory work for their decisions and resolutions, focussing on specific subject matters. The supervisory authority of GVL is entitled to participate in any committee meetings. The Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly has created a Tariff Committee, a Distribution Committee, a Finance Committee and a Complaints Committee.
Tariff Committee
The Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly determines the tariffs and therefore has set up a Tariff Committee with eight of its members; this committee supports the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly in relation to all questions with respect to setting tariffs. This is achieved by the committee providing recommendations and suggestions on all relevant issues subject to the Articles of Association and within the mandate granted to it by the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly.

Distribution Committee
The Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly has also set up a Distribution Committee; this committee develops the details of the respective distribution regulations. The distribution regulations that are compiled throughout several meetings of the Distribution Committee are then clarified at the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly and presented for ratification. Subject to legal requirements and the provisions of GVL’s Articles of Association, the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly is therefore responsible for establishing, amending and changing the distribution rules.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is a committee appointed by the Associates' and Delegates' Assembly. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to prepare the decision making process for the GVL budget (objectives and projects) for the respective subsequent year.

Complaints Committee
A Complaints Committee is prescribed by the law as well as by the Articles of Association. The Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly is obliged as per the provisions in the Articles of Association to appoint a complaints committee made up of five right holders, representatives of right holders or delegates. One of the duties of this committee is, for example, to decide - based on the provisions of the distribution regulations - on right holders’ complaints which the general management had not previously satisfied. Individual details are governed by the complaint rules.
Further committees such as the previous tariff committee and the existing distribution committee can also be re-instated by the Associates’ and Delegates’ Assembly.
