GVL distributes international funds to Producers.

The remuneration for this distribution round for our producers comes from Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland and Spain. From the UK, we were able to distribute remuneration from the MTV group of channels for video clip broadcasts for a third time this year.

‘The quarterly transfer of international funds to our rights holders is running reliably and at a high level,’ says Dirk Löwenberg, Director of the Rights Holder Service for producers and event organisers. ’In addition to a significant year-on-year increase in collections from MTV funds, we have distributed funds from Spain and Finland for the first time this year. Our producers can be pleased about that.’

GVL is currently negotiating further reciprocity agreements with foreign collecting societies for its rights-holding producers. ‘We want to expand the rights management of our producers abroad and continuously increase distributions to our rights holders,’ explains Dirk Löwenberg. The data exchange via the international repertoire database RDx, which started this year, will optimally support the expansion of rights management abroad.
