GVL forwards international remuneration to performing artists

GVL distributes around 1.3 million Euros in this quarter, mainly from France, Austria and Japan. In total, we forwarded slightly more than 10.2 million Euros to our entitled performing artists from 26 different countries in 2024.

International exchange expanded further

This year, GVL was once again able to expand the scope of international rights management: For the first time, we have passed on money from South Korea, for which the foundation was laid last year with a signed bilateral agreement. In addition, we finalized new bilateral agreements with our sister societies in Hungary, Lithuania and Slovenia and were thus able to enlarge the map of international representation for our performing artists by three countries. We now represent them in a total of 35 countries.

Commission us to manage your rights internationally:

In order to be able to reliably forward your remuneration from abroad, we ask our rights holders to regularly check their master data in the rights holder portals and update it if necessary:

• By signing the rights administration agreement, performing artists authorise GVL to administer the rights worldwide, but also have the option of limiting the assignment of rights to certain countries, and meine.gvl for all other matters.
• Recording producers use the online portal label.gvl to commission GVL with the international rights management.
