With the appointment of the 26-year-old, an adaptation of the groups represented on the Board took place: While Dickmann was a Board member active for music directors, Völger now represents actors and artistic performers - in addition to Thomas Schmuckert who had been re-elected for this group as a Board member in February this year.

Völger has been a dubbing actor for nearly twenty years and a full member of the Association of dubbing actors (reg.ass.) (IVS) since 2009. He also brings well-founded legal knowledge to the table. After he studied law with a focus on copyright at the Humboldt University Berlin he is now a doctoral candidate on the subject collective rights management at the HU; since December 2013 he has also been a scientific staff member of a Berlin firm of solicitors. "I look forward to the cooperation with GVL and my fellow Board members. As a representative of dubbing actors, I would like to focus on supporting artists' interests and use my legal background when representing members", Völger explains.

Dr. Tilo Gerlach und Guido Evers, GVL's Managing Directors, welcome the Berlin-born Board member:  "We would like to congratulate Till Valentin Völger on his appointment to the Board and are pleased that he will add his perspective as a dubbing actor and his legal experience to this important committee. We would also like to use this opportunity to thank Benjamin Dickmann for many years of competent involvement on the Board."
