Expansion of services

As a collective management organisation and music licensing company, it is our paramount objective to see that our rights holders receive their remuneration as quickly and easily as possible. At the same time, we endeavour to be there for them in an unbureaucratic way whenever they may have a question or need our support. We see ourselves as service specialists who are quick to assist. To achieve this vision, we have been making further investments into user-friendly digital services and have been focussing in the past one and a half years on a first-class individual support.

Becoming a rights holder is even easier

With the online rights administration agreement, GVL took another important step into the direction of a paperless collective management organisation. In the past, up to 50 pages had to be printed out and dispatched in the past. Today, the entire process is completely digital. If something is missing for the completion, an email suffices to submit missing documents, and the contract is then confirmed with just a click. New rights holders can check all the details directly in the portals.

Label.gvl chat is online in real time

With the label.gvl chat, we introduced another easy contact option for producers on top of phone and e-mail one and a half years ago. The chat function is directly integrated into the portal label.gvl and thus provides direct accessibility to resolve any issues arising together, in real time. Labels appreciate it that they get a quick response without a lot of effort. Two staff from the Rights Holder Service are servicing the chat during the call times (Mon-Thu 9.00 -17.00, Fri 9.00 - 14.00). Due to the positive feedback, the function is also going to be implemented into meine.gvl. and into the rights holder sections on gvl.de.

Individual support in the virtual individual consultation

Since 2023, GVL rights holders have had the option to talk through their questions and issues with our service staff in a personal video call. We take half an hour for individual questions and queries. Documents or functions can be viewed together via screensharing. This is how we can explain technical functions and solve content-related issues together. It is easy to book the calls on gvl.de (for performers and for producers) and take place, free of charge, via the platform “MS Teams”.
