Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Peter Ruzicka has been appointed to represent the group of conductors and music directors on the Board of GVL, with effect from 01 August 2014. As one of our long-standing Board members, he previously represented the group of event organisers.
As of 1 August 2014, GVL offers an improved and publicly available label research function. The previous portal LABEL.GVL which was subject to a fee is therefore replaced.
With immediate effect, members can register their contributions to music productions in films and series. To this end, we developed an entirely new portal gvl artsys film music.
GVL launched a new logo and updated corporate design for its appearance. In the course of adapting the new design, the GVL website has also been completely redesigned and its contents expanded.
On 01 June 2014, GVL welcomed Till Valentin Völger to the Board. Völger was elected by GVL's associates, the German Orchestra Association (DOV) and the Federal Association of the Music Industry (BVMI); he succeeds Benjamin Dickmann.
GVL has modified its agreement for the assignment and administration of rights for producers of sound recordings in order to incorporate a series of new developments.
In the course of the public consultation of the European Commission on copyright in Europe, European music authors have launched the initiative "Creators for Europe", with the aim to invite creators and supporters of copyright to participate.
<p>GVL's associates, the Federal Association of the Music Industry (registered association) [BVMI] and the German Orchestra Association (registered association) [DOV] have decided on a new version of the Articles of Association.</p>
