Berlin, 14 June 2023 The remuneration collected by the Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten mbH (GVL) in 2022 is slightly declining at EUR 235.4m but are still clearly above the original projected figures.

Berlin, 9 June 2022 Good news for all GVL rights holders: In 2021, the Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten mbH (GVL) managed to increase its revenues in all tariff sectors. At EUR 248.6m or an increase of more than 15 percent, the annual result even lies above the general industry sector growth. In line with the schedule, GVL presented its annual financial statements for 2021 at the Assembly of Shareholders and Delegates on 8 June 2022.
With a distribution amount of EUR 337m spread across 15 distributions, GVL draws its first positive conclusion for 2021.
Berlin, 04 January 2022 After Claudia Michelsen stepped down as a GVL dele-gate in December, Oliver Ewy will join the Assembly of Shareholders and Del-egates (GuDV).
Berlin, 02 September 2021 Since 9 August, freelance artists or project-based performers can apply with GVL for the scholarship programme of the collective management organisations, NEUSTART KULTUR which has been set up by the Federal Ministry for Culture and Media.
Soloists or choir singers, dubbing artists or dancers - freelance artists are eligible for support for scholarships via GVL totalling EUR 30m from August onwards. GVL allocates the means in the course of the scholarship programme of the collective management organisations in NEUSTART KULTUR of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. Each approved artistic project will be supported with EUR 5,000.
GVL is planning to grant scholarships via the scholarship programme of the collective management organisations as part of the NEUSTART KULTUR programme. If its application is approved, GVL will receive €30m from the BKM to award grants to freelance performers.
The Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten mbH (GVL) presented its annual accounts for 2020 at its Assembly of Shareholders and Delegates (GuDV) on 22 June 2021. With EUR 216.1m (2019: EUR 215.5m, +0.3%), the annual result is significantly above the estimates at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten held its first purely virtual Assembly of Rights Holders on 3 and 4 June 2021. Rights holders elected their 22 delegates via a specially set-up online portal for the next four years. GVL’s general management reported on the past election period, provided an outlook and answered questions of the rights holders.
