The European elections are in a fortnight' time. At a time when fundamental democratic values in Germany and Europe are coming under increasing pressure, it is more important than ever to send out a strong signal against hatred and populism. Art and music can only be free in democratic societies. Just as creativity cannot exist without a plurality of voices, our society also thrives on diversity and the harmony of different lifestyles and cultures.

Current seminar series for Producers

The tried-and-tested online seminars for our rights holders and Producers will take place again this year. 

The series on various topics relating to the label.gvl portal will start on 7 February 2024.

Final Distribution Sound Recordings 2019 Completed

We are pleased to announce that due to late registrations and additional conflict resolutions, we were able to increase the average allocation rate for 2019 to 96.6 percent with the final distribution.

We have made the corresponding payment notices available on the label.gvl producer portal. There you will also find further information on this distribution.

A look into the world of GVL data

GVL's rights holders receive their remuneration based on the use of audio or audiovisual productions. In order to determine this remuneration, GVL requires information on who owns which rights to a production or who has contributed to it as well as detailed data on the use of these productions.

Clone of GVL on the Reeperbahn Festival 2022

Apart from international gigs the festival also offers a number of events on exciting contents for international trade visitors. From 21 to 24 September, in the course of 130 different sessions, talks, networking events and interviews about twelve topic groups, 350 speakers and presenters provide insights into the current challenges and issues with respect to live entertainment, recorded music, media and journalism, among others.

Producers: Start of distributions 2019-2022 sound recordings

As announced, the GVL has started the distributions mentioned above today. The payout notifications and the individual distribution results will be made available immediately in the producers' portal label.gvl.
