In this distribution run, GVL is distributing a total of €13.6 million in additional payments to performers and their legal successors for the years 2021 to 2023.
As announced in the 2025 distribution plans, GVL has completed the above distributions today.
This time, we are distributing a total of €2.8 million to our eligible performers, mainly from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Hungary and Spain. A third of the funds distributed come from our German-speaking neighboring countries alone. For the first time, our eligible musicians will also benefit from remuneration from Lithuania, thanks to the bilateral agreement with AGATA signed in 2024.
In June 2025, GVL invites its rights holders to two important dates: the virtual group assemblies to elect delegates and a live event in Berlin.
Elections are held in GVL's 15 rights holder groups. An overview of all groups can be found on this page.
The distribution dates are continuously being finalised. We regularly inform rights holders about all distribution-relevant news on gvl.de and our social media channels. The following graphic shows GVL's distribution plans for 2025.
The GVL will be closed from 21 December 2024 to 1 January 2025 due to the holidays. We will not be able to answer calls or e-mails during this time. Of course, you can still write to us. We will be back to our usual services on 2 January 2025.
You can also find help with submitting reports in our manual or in the FAQs.
We are pleased to report that we were able to increase the average allocation rate for 2020 to 96.44 percent with the final distribution due to further repertoire registrations and additional conflict resolutions.
