Last Tuesday, GVL held its Assembly of Shareholders and Delegates (GuDV). Apart from resolutions regarding distribution plans and rights administration agreements, the grants for 2022 were also approve during the meeting which took place according to its regular schedule.
Until 15 December 2021, performers can sign a contract for the final distribution 2017-2018.

Initiative Musik supports the music business in Germany in its focus areas pop and rock music and jazz. GVL is the main associate of Initiative Musik. We spoke to the two Managing Directors, Ina Keßler and Tina Sikorski about their positive review after a year of dual leadership and about the most recent developments in the cultural promotion sector.
Today, the GVL begins paying out artist royalties as part of the initial distribution 2020 and the subsequent distributions 2017 to 2019. A total of €88.3 million will be additionally distributed to entitled persons in this distribution.
GVL will be present at the Reeperbahn Festival on 23, 24 and 25 September with workshop sessions.
GVL started the distribution to producers for sound recordings as scheduled: Apart from the initial distribution for the 2020 usage year, distribution runs for 2017 to 2019 were also carried out.
Since 9 August, freelance artists or project-based performers can apply with GVL for the scholarship programme of the collective management organisations, NEUSTART KULTUR which has been set up by the Federal Ministry for Culture and Media. GVL has now paid out the first scholarships.
